To Book a Workshop

We recommend that bookings are made a minimum of 6 weeks in advance, although sometimes we may be able to accommodate you at short notice.

Session times: visits to Hastings Pier usually begin at 10am.
We offer 1 or 2 hour workshops.
Each workshop can accommodate 1 class.
We also have some trails and independent activities for teachers to use independently.

If you are attending a workshop you can also book the education space for lunch. The space can accommodate 2 classes.

Example timetable for 2 classes:

10.00 – 10.15: Welcome and introduction together

Class 1

10.15 – 11.15: Independent trail lead by school staff

11.15 – 12.15: Workshop lead by HPC staff

12.15 – 13.00: Lunch together

Class 2

10.15 – 11.15: Workshop lead by HPC staff

11.15 – 12.15: Independent trail lead by school staff

12.15 – 13.00: Lunch together


Cancellations: if a visit is cancelled with less than 3 working days’ notice we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £30.

Payment: Payment should be made on receipt of invoice. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Hastings Pier Charity’ - BACS payments should be sent to CAF Bank, Sort Code 40-52-40, Account ‘Hastings Pier Charity’, Account Number – 00022463 quoting the name of your school.

Risk Assessments: Please read through our risk assessment for school visits and visit guidelines before your visit. All visits begin with a short safety talk and introduction. We expect all children on the site to be supervised at all times by adults from your school and that you will bring your own fist aider. We recommend a planning visit for teachers. If you would like to visit before you decide to book please call in advance.
