Pier Jam Hastings!
28th April 2018
Special Guest: Holy Goof
When DJs Phantasy and Macky Gee and MCs Stormin, Skibadee, Harry Shotta and Shabba D got together in 2014 for a fittingly heavyweight final show at London’s now-closed Area Club, it was only meant to be a one-off. Three years and a whole stack of international showdowns later, SASASAS have achieved verified supergroup stripes (all while holding down successful solo careers) and become one of the most in-demand crews in drum & bass.
Responsible for arguably one of the biggest house records of 2017 in ‘More than Friends’ featuring Kelli Leigh. James Hype has gone on to become one of the most in demand mash-up DJs. Playing some huge high profile gigs such as Capital Winter Bell Ball at Liverpool’s Echo Arena, there seems to be no signs of James Hype slowing down!
Sammy Virji hasn’t been on the scene for long but he has firmly imprinted his distinctive sound into the bass industry. His current tour schedule see’s him playing up and down the UK at some of the biggest events in the country. 2018 is set to be a huge year for this Drum & Bass new-comer.
Holy Goof, a DJ/producer has emerged as one of the UK’s most promising newcomers over the last 12 months and is already backed by the likes of Flava D, DJ Q and My Nu Leng. His sound — a fluid, bass-house hybrid referencing everything from bassline to grime — is squarely tilted at the club, with notable appearances at fabric, Detonate and bass festivals like Nass and Sidewinder suggesting it’s an area he’s ready to really make his name in.
