Hastings Pier plaques move

The plaques on the Parade Extension (at the shore end of the pier) are being moved from the decking to balustrade to enable visitors to read them more easily and protect them from weather damage.

The plaques from the new scheme have been moved to the balustrade on the East side (as pictured). The plaques from the previous Hastings Pier & White Rock Trust scheme will be moved to the West side (near The Pavilion restaurant) very soon.

The plaques installed on the Central Section and Pier Head balustrade will remain where they are.

Make sure you take a moment to read some of the plaques all around the pier on your next visit - there are some beautiful messages, including a marriage proposal!

All funds raised from our Pier Plaque scheme go back into the project, helping us to keep the pier maintained and open for years to come.

You can purchase a Hastings Pier plaque via our website here.
